Confirmation

NEW FOR 2025-2026! WE ARE MAKING CHANGES!
Please click on the link below titled "MBS Confirmation Announcement" to download a complete list of all updates and changes to our Confirmation program at MBS. In short, we will be dropping the age of Confirmation candidates steadily over the next 4 years until we reach 7th grade to comply with our Bishop's new directive. For 2025-2026 all 10th and 11th grade students are invited to register to receive the sacrament of Confirmation at our parish.
Confirmation Initiation Process
The initiation process and journey of faith begun at Baptism take on a deeper dimension as a young adult. Begun at Baptism and enriched by the Eucharist, Catholic Christians validate their faith in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Young adults who present themselves as potential Confirmation candidates are encouraged to prayerfully consider the guidelines of our parish listed below. These are considered the minimum for our Confirmation process.
Please review these guidelines with your candidate.
When you sign the Confirmation Registration Form, you make your commitment to and acknowledgment of these important criteria:
- Candidates, according to Diocesan guidelines, are registered members of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish or have written permission from your Pastor prior to the registration deadline.
- Candidates have been involved in an ongoing Religious Education Process either at Most Blessed Sacrament, another parish, or in a Catholic school (verification required).
- NEW! Candidates have attained at least a 10th or 11th grade level of academic education.
- Candidates attend Mass and are active participates in the Sacramental life of the church.
- Candidates will agree to commit to the Sacramental process by faithfully attending classes and remaining in our process through the Confirmation Retreat experience.
